Larry Coryell - Spaces
(1970, Vanguard Apostolic) -1B/-1B

first release with Coryell on the cover. killer fusion with John McLaughlin, Chick Corea, Miroslav Vitous, Billy Cobham.

No relation to Air Coryell, Lee :) and, ....speaking of not bad session players, the guys playing here are in uncharted territory.

I remember Elliot Mintz, KLOS when I lived in Riverside, Ca....underground radical radio back then,....
we had KRAB-FM for some wild non-commercial programming in Seattle.

The late night jazz program was on the Seattle classical station - KING-FM - and it was often DJ'd by Spencer Haywood, an NBA all-star with the Supersonics in the early 70's. He was a hard bop jazz fan and played some incredible stuff for my 15 year old ears.

Chad Stuart and Jeremy Clyde - Of Cabbages And Kings
(1967, Columbia) -1A/-1A

It's 1967, Sgt. Pepper is everywhere so like everyone else Chad & Jeremy do a concept LP. It has interesting moments. Folkies meet psych - reminds me of a scene from A Mighty Wind.

I remember Spencer, back when the Sonics were something...
Yes, he had a terrific baseline turnaround jump shot - a great outside shooter for a 6'9" guy (until Larry Bird came along 10 years later). His baseline shot appeared to be unstoppable. I remember hearing talk about his jumping ability, that he could grab a $20 bill from the top of a backboard.

Want to feel old? He's 67 years old now. :|

"The Bing Crosby Special" with Bob Hope, Diana Ross and the Supremes and Jose Feliciano. I would gather maybe 1968, there is a number about Paint Your Wagons with Bing and the Supremes.

On Get TV, Boise channel 35.2 off the air.

After listening to Dr. Lizardo and HP Killer Queen Ted Cruz and Carly Fiorina for about three minutes, even Two Tickets To Paradise was better. Just heard Me and Julio - Paul Simon on K-Hits.

I've already blown past most notions of what I though was OLD a long time ago, it gets old.
