Pink Floyd - The Dark Side Of The Moon
(1973, Harvest) German pressing

nice. I can remember bringing this home at age ~17 as a new release LP (US) and being astonished by album and the sound quality. Multiple repeat listens.

Those who enter the man cave will get WOPLed
Love to see the open reel in use, Derek! How did your tape turn out? Love the looks of this Sony deck and may have to keep my eyes peeled.....
Recording turned out brilliant. Reel to reel is a whole new territory for me, absolutely love that sound. I put some zeppelin on the other side of the tape with equally impressive results.

Been busy working, its sunday and I'm off to work again in a few hours. Unfortunately I'm always too tired to do anything at all after work, its very labor intensive.

David Crosby - If I Could Only Remember My Name
(1971, Atlantic) Artisan & Monarch symbols in the deadwax

Great sound quality / low frequencies. Quite an impressive ensemble of musical cronies backing Crosby here. Jack Casady on bass!

Hey SLF go look at the cover for the new govt mule-dark side of the mule lp that's comin out. It's very cool!
That is cool artwork - and kind of sets expectations for a good release.

Traffic

3 or 4 years I believe. Don't forget back then ppl pumped out lp's not like nowadays where you might get a lp every 2 or 3 years if your lucky...
I think Steve Winwood was the driving force for Traffic (and all of 18 years old I think), and they disbanded for awhile in 1969 when Winwood formed Blind Faith with Clapton and Ginger Baker. Reunited in 1970 and put out a string of great albums. wiki

Bill Evans Jim Hall - Undercurrent

Mesmerizing piano and jazz guitar. Glad I was in position to scoop this up when it showed up at an HPB a year or two ago.
