Robert: you didn't complete your sentence. You did mean Bachman Turner Overdrive?

Yesterday, I was listening to a creative mix tape recorded by Kelv in the UK. I played it back on my Esoteric V-9000, as my Pioneer CT-F1000 doesn't have an eq & bias setting for metal tape. The That's MG-X 100 cassette is titled "Now Then Guys & Gals." Kelv made a great recording with his Denon DRM-710.

Nando your ELP tape was excellent. Definately filled some holes I had in the collection.

Thanks Lee. Next, I wouldn't mind recording more progressive rock for you, as I'm sure it's stuff you may not have heard of. I'll provide you with some album titles to choose from.

Nando, nice to see you using the fancy Teac :thumbright:
Hi stuwee,

I hope to use it more often, and actually record with it, once I read up about the tape calibration procedure. This deck is easy to use with the remote control.

I'm going to assume the controls are under that flip down lid on the bottom?

You should be able to put it into record/play, then hit Rec Cal and toggle between 'level' and 'Bias' using the meters to center those levels. Of course, you can fine tune by ear as well. Do you have the OM?
