I should look into getting a better copy of that one, mine if beat to hell. Speaking of Iggy, ever listen to New VAlues? That one's my personal favorite Iggy solo album and I think often overlooked. Of course, opinions vary or it wouldn't be often overlooked. And it could have just been repeated listens at a key age.

Only have Idiot and Lust for Life in the collection from solo Iggy at this time, Dave and will need to check out New Values soon- cheers.

JJ Cale - Grasshopper

I thought I had every JJ Cale album at one time. Never heard of that one SLF....

A first listen for me, although I've run across it in the bins before. lots of the usual tasty guitar playing and also some interesting steel drum / reggae stuff.

I noticed it was an 80's release....I didn't buy uch music in the 80's. Was in the middle of an oil boom and was working 80-100 hour weeks....

wow, wonderful sound quality/low frequency on this pressing. might be my favorite Paul Simon record, many good memories tied to this title.

Yeah, 100 hr weeks will cut into your listening time. I didn't buy much music in the 80's - very busy too with career and family. a good decade to put on the back-burner...There was some good music in the 80s but a lot of crap as musicians and studios were playing with drum machines, etc.

Pretty racey stuff back in the day and I may need to go and grab another copy of it as I have seen this album rear it's head recently on a few of my friends mobile devices. My copy was "borrowed" a looong time ago.

Ohh yeah these brothers are nasty! I can't barely listen to a single track without laughing, they just don't hold back, brilliant stuff. Also good for shaking walls too.
