what are you listening to?

how lazy.
don't u know that lowering and lifting is all part of the ceremony.
i can see u aren't a true aficionado...

it's like a Japanese Tea Ceremony without the cup!

shame on u D2.....

haha, well I do lower it manually, also I have to get up and turn the platter off and put the arm back into its resting position. Saves valuable belt/bearing life.

I'm going to put a tea cup on it to use as a stabiliser. Might even chuck some tea leaves in the cup as well :happy6:

try it with milo, and some sugar. it really makes it so much sweeter....

my pet hate is having to keep cranking up the handle all the time to get it through a whole side of a cylinder.

Where did you get the auto lifter? Can they fit on any table or are they for Thorens only?

Came with the Thorens when I bought it, will do a close up photo when the record finishes.

The Beatles - Oldies but Goldies - MONO - UK Pressing - Thorens TD 160 Super

Hrrm... From what I can tell the Q-up auto lifter can be had for about 60 dollars and works on most table. I might have to look into one of those in the future for my PL 71.

Got 1 song downloaded, took 47 minutes....

If you are referring to my share folder, I have put each album in a compressed zip file which you will need to unzip to a folder on your computer.
