what are you listening to?

Well I live in a town. Downtown, there is a record shop. Has mad shit. Been my main record joint for about 10 years now. I moved away for 2 years and the shop was sorely missed. I have developed a good relationship with the store owner over the years.
 
That must be nice!! There ain't shit around me. I would have to go to Chicago and pay the prices that go along with that big of a city. It's 9 miles to the nearest gas station and grocery store from me lol
 
Gonna spin this vanilla fudge-rock and roll that just came in mail. It's a bit beat up so fingers crossed...

Be glad you are so close to Chi- town, Skynyrd77. You could live in Colorado, pay premium prices and not be able to find anything.... unless you need another copy of CCR's Chronicle or a beat copy of Beggars Banquet.

Well around here, being that there is only 1 shop, you pretty much pay what he's asking or go elsewhere. Some stuff isnt always cheap. New vinyl can add up fast down there. Before I was laid off I was buying a lot of new. But now im back to spending less and getting more used vinyl. I know of a few shops in other towns as well that I hit up every now and then. As well Toronto is only a little over an hours drive for me. There's lots of shops down there. Whenever Im down there I make a point to hit 1 or 2 shops.
 
Yeah I'm about 100 miles from Chicago so it's just close enough to not affect me. Still live in middle of nowhere but in 2 hours I can be at a show .
 
Got turned on to Shpongle by a guy from Maine that got lost in the oilfield for a couple years, married one of our hotties and left..

Yup, Don't you remember I was telling you about them opening the show with a no record contract Warrant playing after and LA Guns headlining at the Water Club in San Pedro, CA in '88?
