Don Henley ~ The End of the Innocence Mix

It's on the new Phoenix test tape being tested, well one side of the tape

Will post more detail of the tape forum as I listen more.

Prokofiev-Piano Concerto No. 3 ~ Byron Janis piano, Kyril Kondrashin conducting the Moscow Phil.

Recorded live at The Moscow Conservatoire Great Hall on 35mm magnetic film, Mercury Living Presence

Janis must have been exhausted after this performance, I've never heard these pieces played so brilliantly, the dude was feeling it! Drop dead gorgeous sound!

Mercury hauled tens of thousands of dollars worth of tube equipment to Russia just for this one performance, amazing

Moussorgsky-Pictures at an Exhibition Sviatoslav Richter

Sofia, Bulgaria 1958, Columbia 6-eye Mono

The quote on the bottom of the Lp ain't no lie, this copy has some pops and tics, but after a few moments I don't hear them at all I just melt into the couch :tongue7:

I'm humming some and the sound of the rear panel fan as there's no door on the Compaq.

Gettin' funky with some Quincy

The Dude ~ Quincy Jones, 1981 A&M first pressing

I first heard "I No Corrina" in '80 when I snuck into my first bar (I was 17, the drinking age was 18 then) I loved the song but the Lp wasn't out yet, the DJ was on a Disconet service and got an early release of the song, he thought I was a cute young thing, I batted my big baby blues, and he let me take it home to record on my Teac 500 :thumbright:

Of course, when it finally came out, I bought it immediately

...A favorite band of mine. Saw them twice in the '80's. Once at the Toledo Sports Arena (on the "Strength In Numbers" tour, Bon Jovi was the opening act) and once at a free show at a Rally By The River concert in Toledo.
