He doesn't say a whole lot.
But a great outfit none the less, a very hard working band.
They still tour but without Wilco or Lee (RIP)

I'll never give it up....
my mind ain't worth saving any more any way.....
Well I would have liked to kept high, but really want to keep enjoying this audio hobby I have, more productive now and actually able to work again, also not going to sleep all the time like I was (I'd get about 6 to 8 hours out of the day and I'd be back asleep, what a waste). Its minimum wage and the job sucks, but at least the wheels are rolling again.

I've totally lost the plot....
once you get screws in your back, you're pretty limited with what you can do and what you can't.
I worked almost 30 years in rock'n'roll, and after all that time, do you think it's easy to try and bottle all that momentum and energy? no, but smokin' sure as hell caps a lot of the motivation, subsequently, restricting my needs to get up and do 'something, .... anything!' just drives you nuts otherwise, which it has....

Look at all that gear you have, its awesome, I'd love to see myself with gear like that in 10-15 years time, and I would have no trouble staying at home tweaking and enjoying it for the rest of my life. I have a 125 wpc receiver coming soon (pioneer vsx-9500s) and am getting very excited about that, sounds small but its a big upgrade for me, should have 2 of them running within the next 3-6 months. Hope to upgrade all my speaker wiring and RCA jacks to high end stuff in the near future too. Then after that I will be buying a dedicated power amp (the pioneer has the capability to act as a pre-amp on its own). The hobby never ends!

.... and there's always something new to look forward to, no matter how small the addition.
Keep getting out and about and scour every Op shop within a 10Km radius.
Something always pops up.
.... and let's not forget your local pawnbrokers and "Cashies". Watch out for stuff that's been collecting dust and hasn't moved for a while, then make ridiculous offers. They usually say no, but might say yes.
If not, ask again sometime and you just never know your luck.
Patience is a virtue. All good things come to those who wait.... So the saying goes, and it usually proves to be true.

I'll be reviewing the phono stageless (bad I am told) Yamaha CA-1000 that came today from Tapeheads' DaveInVA very soon!
