I had a chance to audition the newest the Fixx CD (Beautiful Friction) before buying it. I, also, picked up the newest Saga CD (20/20) at the same time. The store's AV manager, at London Drugs, where I bought most of most recent CDs and new vinyl releases, prides himself in bringing in titles which are non-mainstream. I like that!
Nando.
Had a friend who recently saw The Fixx (a week or so ago). Said it was a great show. I may have to look into this album.
Have a few old Saga records fro the early 80's iirc. Was always a fan of "On The Loose"[/quote:284che8y]
Paul,
The Fixx's latest CD grabbed my attention from most of the opening bars of each song. It's a different style of music from there signature songs of the 80's. Perhaps, I'll listen to the whole album during the weekend.
I have about six, or so, of Saga's albums in LP from way back when. I hope this one is as good as their earlier music. Canadian band, you know!

I think I have two or three Saga albums. Growing up on the Alaska coast we got a heavy does of Canadian rock. Interestingly enough when we moved to the St. Louis area we found that they were big into Canadian rock as well.
When April Wine's "Nature Of The Beast" came out it was one of my favorite albums. When I started moving backwards through their catalog I found a lot of treasures. Looks like I have about 6 Triumph lp's in NM/NM condition....
