Welcome to Phoenix!!
Thanks!

Just got through writing a semi-long intro and somehow lost the screen! Oh well. Anyway I am currently running Infinity Kappa 7.1 powered by Kenwood L07m vintage monoblocks and am looking for more headroom for these and future speakers. Also have Proac Tablette's, Sony Integrated amp, Thorens TT, SME, etc. etc.

I recently was streaming from my computer via Plex and was happy UNTIL I put in the original CD. Just opened up! The source was Amazon MP3 (which I thought had a high bitrate compared to Amazon cloud). Boy was I wrong. Funny how your hearing accommodates.

I really BADLY NEED one of your 700b's from your recent score!!!!

Oh, I am having the posts that I read show up in inverted order. I want to read the first post first. I am sure it is something simple and I will look pretty stupid.??? Any tip.

Thanks Again!!

Welcome Franklin to Phoenix. I understand the need for a 700B - but what about one of these? Do you need your temperature taken? She won't tell.

From your avatar photo she looks to be all prepped up to have her temperature taken and I don't mean orally. Although.........

New record. Second post and I am already highly inappropriate! Think I'll fit right in.

Thanks, NavLinear!

You are right there, Jason! Talked with a guy that just sold one that he had been trying to get rid of for a year and just sold it last week. I didn't even ask how much he got because I was so disheartened! These 700b's are getting hard to find!

I am thinking once I get it I will take it to my tech. I have been talking with him and he is very interested in the work. I am a DIY kinda guy but I really don't want to screw up in electronics of which I am pretty inept. I was certified as a solderer back in the dark ages but that is/was my only ability. I am far from a yuppie (SO far) but I know when it is best for someone that knows his stuff to take over. I can do the critical listening.

1) I figure I need to talk with him about cleaning up the stock wiring routing(power not crossing at right angles?).
2) Speaker protection circuit kit.
3) Installing WO kit.

Can't think of anything else....

The nice thing about this tech is that he wants to fully test the results afterwards and not just do a repair job and be done with it. Too many techs just want the simple, not better, way.

Go to your user control panel, you'll see a thread display options.
Thank You!

Who is your tech? Do we know him? If not , have him review a couple of the WOPL build threads, if he's worth his salt , he'll see what we're doing right away. Joe's products come with release notes, AND assembly notes with all sorts of wisdom thrown in. Go to the White Oak website under documentation and download the release notes and assembly notes for the product you want. The downloads are free... good place for your tech to start...
