Not that I can discern Lee, I am going to swap my series jumpers the other way and see if that makes a difference. Maybe I am completely out of phase?

Ron that's one thing Joe's test will tell you. Depending onnthe phase relationship. You will have in/out excursion.

Have to wait to do the test. I just swapped the wires and the WOPL fins started getting warm really quick so I shut it down and unhooked these for another day. Vega's back on and sounding great as before

You went from series to parallel?
No, I just swapped all the polarity's to see if there was a difference, your heat then reared it's ugly head. I am sure it will be easy to sort out once I get a battery. I might have call Bill again to see which coil is which and what order they need to be jumped (the meter just swings all the way to the right on the ohm setting for both coils on my POS analog tester). I am a bit pissed though, drill slipped and i put a small tear in the new surround. Have to get some clear nail polish and do the inside and outside to seal it unless you guys have a better recommendation for the repair

I use socket head screws on all my speakers to prevent that possibility from happening.
