And apparently Trump confusion set in and wanting to get back at the MSM he instead punished Miami Sound Machine and slapped stuff on Cuba again.

More Heat Sink Photos

Group buy of heat sinks has arrived today. Fabricator did a great job. White objects in the photo are the shoulder washers I used to align the heat sinks with chassis for photos.

Sweet! Those look awesome Joe. What alloy did you wind up using and what is the thickness of the material. Enquiring minds want to know. :tard: It looks like you started with a flat piece of material and rather than an extruded piece - cool.

5052-H32 as it forms the best Nav. Tried that and 6061-T6 but the best forming results are with the 5052. They are 0.125" thick material which is overall a bit thicker than the original extrusion as the fins tapered down to under 0.100" at each end. Not so with these.

Laser cut for precision hole spacing and diameter. Then formed with a special window brake die that my fabricator worked up. He had to hit with major tonnage to get the inside radius needed. After a couple of experimental trials, they were able to dial that in.

What alloy of copper did you decide on, and did you have any of those made?
no Copper Lee. I would have had to find a kings ransom to finance that endeavor. Plus there would have been tooling charges for the shapes as you cannot laser copper and it would have to be punched

Thanks Perry, they came out very nice and the laser precision is awesome. They are dead nuts on when laid on the White Oak chassis.

Yes I have some extras from the run.

They "FELL" into place.... No jockeying or Munkey Friggin around (even on this series II 700 WOPL i'm just finishing. . Yeah, I want another set. Let me know the damage.... I might as well start collecting parts since it will be several months till I can function with the new shoulder (I go in for surgery on Tuesday).
