I'm going through things I need to get gone and have some video tapes for regulars here, if any, who might be able to use them. Don't want anything for them, just shipping. All or nothing and if any takers, I'll get a shipping cost if given a zip/postal code. PayPal or bank draft works for me.

Factory sealed Sony Beta ED Metal EL-250 - six of them

Factory sealed Sony Beta L-500 & L-750 - one of each

Factory sealed Maxell TC-30 - four of them in a factory prepared, unopened "Camcorder Event Pack"

Open, seemingly unused (but who knows), Sony V-31 seven inch, 380m/1240' reel of 1/2"

You might ask Braxus if he has an ED deck...I could possibly use the two standard Beta cassettes.

Since I spend 14 to 16 hours per day in a tow truck and don't feel like going anywhere on weekends (I take naps 'cause I don't get enough sleep), I am only making one trip out the door with these tapes. If there's no interest here in a day or two, I'll drop them off at a thrift store. That might also motivate me to get rid of the clothes hanging in the closet that I haven't looked at in 5 years.

I do have a nice Sony Beta machine, an SL-HF750, so I don't know whether I could use the ED Metal tapes. Do you want to figure out a mailing cost for the ED tapes and the standard Beta tapes, Gary?

Oh...I do have an assortment of Beta tapes with porn on them. The machine and tapes came as a complete package.

Geri and I will be headed to Coquitlam on Friday, Sept. 8th. Perhaps, that would be an opportunity to meet up. I could bring along a few pre-recorded 8-tracks needing a recondition, and I could bring a pair of Elcaset tapes for you to use for recording on your EL-7.

I sent a PM on the standard tapes, but I also spent 4+ hours in ER and don't think they ever found the actual problem, could have stayed home and I have dental surgery in the morning to extract a wisdom tooth that rotted out. I am worn out and just not talking a lot about it. I'll see you tomorrow I suppose.

PS that means you take them Nando.

Everything worked out as planned and Gary and I met this past Saturday. He had a couple of Beta tapes and a GM demo 8-track for me. I had a few pre-recorded 8-tracks that needed Gary's touch in reconditioning them, and for his trouble I gave him a pair of Elcaset tapes to use for recording.

No ED tape will not be correct for the stardard Beta deck. I think they are metal or Metal evaporated tape if memory is good. The ED deck actually out performed a 1" deck in some specs. But like Cassette tape the better technology went into newer type products. I think this was a product before Broadcast beta decks came out.
