Nope, but if you do buy a Variac, spend the cash and get a model which will be big enough for most anything. Expensive??? YES, but it will last you the rest of your life and if you learn to use the meters, they are invaluable.

I restored a couple and sold one, mine will last for another 100 years. Don't be afraid to find an old beat up one and restore it...... Especially an old AMERICAN unit.

I Have Both, Look on Amazon, I think I paid $140 their a lot cheaper now.

There are a lot of nice vintage American made ones on the Bay. Superior Electric, Genrad, etc. Easy to find one.
