Hi Guys,

I found this pile of ~ 75 tapes just down the street this evening. Best of all price was free for the taking.... :D There is a mix of mostly TDK and Maxell with about 1/3 being type II. Even a few on ZIN and some other art forms should one desire to become cultured.

I spy with my little eye :cyclops: some goodies in there! Free is good :D , thanks for saving some orphans

There might be some great recordings on those you might never have found otherwise, part of the fun of gettin' others cast-offs

I still find a great number of quality cassettes at the local flea market and thrift stores. As stuwee said, there can be some gems as far as mix tape recordings in the bunch. Great find, Robert!

Morning Guys,
A nice selection of tapes, most have been played maybe a couple times at most,, even a few unopened. There are a dozen Maxell type II's, a few misc, and the rest are TDK type I's. The content looks to be mostly books being read so no find in mix music. They will make great tapes for recording stuff off the radio. It's cool being able to save this stuff from the dumpster!

Stuwee: Yep, never know what one may find, that is the fun part. A treasure hunt of sorts.

FF: I may take you up on your offer and try some of those tapes one of these days. None of those brands on the shelf here... Glad to see you and I both survived another week of A-Holes in the corporate world!

Nando: Yes, I have been keeping a more open eye of late on things like this which need a good home. So, how in the world did you restrain yourself at the garage sale?????

This is funny. I think to myself I have to stop at Goodwill. Then I think they may have some tapes I better not. Don't need no stinking tapes. LOL

Hi Robert,

As of late I've been giving away more than receiving. I brought $100 in cash for the Garage Sale and kept to my budget. I wouldn't make an exciting poker player at the casino, I'm afraid. With only $100 you would have had a complete starter vintage system at the sale. I love vinyl, so that's what I treated myself to. I did pick up one unique accessory, though.

Hi Larry,

No Phoenix tapes yet.... I need to get some now that there are working decks to play them on. I see there are several different ones, what do you recommend?

BTW, the Tascam motor and variable speed is working just fine. Many thanks for the assistance and motor.

Here's an example of some of the cassettes I recently found and bought for a quarter each.

Hi FF,

It's the only one I have, unfortunately. I bought it, especially, for my Pioneer CT-F1000.
