Weeeeell, ya'll heard my cassette taping session woes last week  , but my friend was duly impressed with the quality, in fact some of the best he'd heard in his fancy Sony ES deck.

Then Tuesday, I took my SACD copied on a green TDK MA-XG of 'Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy' over to Tom's house and he could hardly believe it was a cassette. He has a bitchin' Revox RtR, and is hard to impress with the lowly cassette so  . Plus I've had many, many times in the last several years blew away audiophile and non-audiophiles with a cassette recording. Using a good Lp or Cd on an excellent tape...watching your levels....don't push it way into the red, and no NR, Dolby or DBX ever!!! If your deck has Cd direct...use it!!
What he said ^^^ !

Oh, and Hey!

And if you think that Elton sounds "Fantastic" on that MA-XG *classic*, you should hear it on a Sony Metal Master played back on a cherry, low-hour TC-K870ES through some mono blocks that are hooked up to some super bitchin' B&W limited editions.
