300 watts on those BMS drivers will seriously affect your hearing.
Right you are but these are 16 ohm diaphragms
maybe I’ll just use the 100 watts to start for the BMS or some fuses at least.

Update this amp is first gen and may have higher noise than my other unit. There are some tweaks to reduce THD+N

the current spec’s are in attached doc
well see. It’s a bit like putting a hemi on the dyno in nick’s garage, check that out on YouTube

Testing the new RANE AMP. All good when run through 8 ohm loads. .04% THD+N . THERE ARE UPGRADES to lower this as in my other newer series Rane amp at about .009% .
I’ll leave it alone.
only thing to tweak is fan speed . It has 200 ohm blocking resistor for low speed . Not sure what I’ll need but though could if need use a three sped control.

look how clean this thing is for 1984 amp B8471FA4-1EE1-4446-BD50-F39A33A188F6.jpeg A0183B24-E99C-4541-91A6-CD65DD37A21A.jpeg F35586CF-B5DC-42DE-ACCA-890A8FED31FF.jpeg 601C217D-1964-4D16-B720-1762676A6FF9.jpeg 840F177D-DF24-46DD-AAF1-12F09C1AFA69.jpeg 7E9C4843-2D5E-4321-A6AD-5E1BF3A0D95C.png 6BDC77A0-FB2C-4EC5-AC16-1C1855227098.jpeg

Use an electronic op-amp solution. Drive both +/- inputs for balanced line receiver, then do the inverse for the balance line driver / transmit side with an overall gain at 1 on both. No magnetic coupling, no ac fielding pick-up. Will need a +/- supply...but its a cleaner solution with no phase shift that transformers have.

Thanks George
My issues were from poor cable rooting and ground faults

I have a Tascam la81 which does what you pointed out
I also have the transformers which have the advantage of blocking dc and total isolation. These are working for me
As to phase control I have the ability to adjust and actually fooled around with on he weekend

it looks as you have valuable insight on this subject
