Not.

But I did just buy the WOPL 500 from Dan that Lee built up for him and it should arrive on Wednesday.

Couple questions for Lee, Joe and those in the know.

1) Procedure to check and adjust bias can be found where? Recommended range?

2) This was an early build I think with not the latest rev boards. Is there any improvements or changes I can make/ or should make on this amp?

For now will use on top end of triamp system and hope it has a little sweeter sound than the Quasi comp WOPL 1000 I have in this place now.

Hope to be able to repair the meters on the WOPL 1000 too when I take it out of service.

If that was a series 1 700, I have some meters for it...I guess docdan didn't like it eh??
.
Bias should be 380 millivolts. There are hooks on the board and backplane for your metrr, take your pick...

But did he like his Christmas mailing?

I think he said something about moving and needing to downsize.

In his listing he said that it was for a second system and he could not justify keeping it. So maybe he's got an amp he prefers to it, dunno?

Up and running

Received the new 400 and opened her up and adjusted bias to 0.390 as I like to live on the wild side.

Due to life's interruptions could not listen more than a song on the radio so will have to have a listening session in the very near future so I can compare to the quasi comp WOPL 1000. The big blue meters sure are perty though!

Nice note inside there Lee, nice touch.
