Always learning!
Yup, that's it, definitely a fly crawling along the needle. Now he's on the left. Gonna get that little bugger. Wish I had some Shpongle...I'd roast him!

I'll try..fast little sucker. He's gone now.

Gotta admit the left VU was wonky and sticking from the start. Wouldn't zero. The fly actually zero'd the meter but it's sticking again.

You started sticking when you were 40 too...

Good analogy....and it you push it, it moves. Same in life. Bet you didn't know a WOPL is a philosophical life lesson.

Take a static rag and de-static the lens...

That could work. I'll try it.

On a serious note, do you thing there is any danger of the bugger getting fried and spewing fly goo and short something? Should I shut her down?

havent seen it for about 15 minutes...could be fried already!

If a fly shuts that amp down then we have some SERIOUS problems...

Let's both be around at that time and celebrate her demise with a bottle of Geritol.

WOPL doubles as a bug zapper...taking notes.

PS To keep the fly out of your meter, stop playing Achtung Baby.

One wonders how a fly got into the meter housing, not much room in those holes with the bulbs. I bet it's a rare Wyoming Shpongle Fly (genus Gilletis)

but just look at the transient response time on the bug...
