The X-amp review, part I

Hi fellow Phoenicians :D The stereo 70wpc into 8ohms is up for test in your abode, who would like to try it out? I passed the stumiester's test, passed with flying colors :thumbright: :color: :thumbleft:

The D chip does have a sound, or maybe I'm just used to the 'old school trannies and outputs from my other gear. regardless, it has lot's of tight clean bass, smooth mids and clear highs, let me know if ya want to check it out.

I told Larry I would be interested in the mono amps too, he just never quoted me a price range. :cyclops:

I think he's trying to figure out how much time we're gonna have in curing their 2 problems. AND we are working on a new power supply re-fit in case the switchers get to be a problem also. We got em cheap enough, likeI said, trying to figure out the incrementals. My boys are going to Colorado Saturday to pick up the rest of em.

Gonna have to get the party of the first part back on here.

I just ordered the parts. They are on their way as I type. I haven't even opened one up yet. Trying to get the loader fixed. Every time I think I'm close I'm not. Think maybe today it will happen. Plus I'm doing my outside work. Ask jerry what my table and work bench looked like. LOL

Larry

They sold for 199.00 new. Which is cheap for 150 watts. That is w/o mods. I will break them out and take pics today.

Web the stereo one is shipping out this morning, dang it's nippy down here, I have to wear a jacket, seems there's lot's of snow up in the four corners area

I'm gonna miss this little guy, enjoy!

I think Lee should post up the mods in detail down in the AV123 X-Amp thread, since that shows up on the 1st page of a google search on them. get some folks interested to buy them!

That's your call, I'd suggest doing the mods on a pair and show and explain the results, then folks will know how you care about how they sound and will last trouble free for years to come. Just my opinion.
