And the Onix DIDN"T give you goosebumps??

Of course it did silly goose, I was talking about a digital recording of a analog source.

Since I have a lot of Jazz, which is pretty old, most of the CD versions come from analog masters. I never thought that the best CD's were digital front to back but maybe they are.

I definitely like the sound from vinyl, but I also like a well balanced system that can make CD work well, and generally speaking I have found tube playback very complimentary to digital recordings.

I think it takes a lot of care and sensitivity to make good recordings, and I do enjoy recordings of high quality. However, I'm inclined to believe that the musical performances themselves are more important and not it's not worth loosing them forever.

Look Craig, I have an Onkyo Integra TA-2044 that is definitely no-fly zone. It needs a new power cord (somebody spliced a section with the plug) but for $3 I put into it if it completely pans out you cannot argue.

Flying is for giant PIGS!

Stuwee, score a Sony ES and live to enjoy another day.

What was the tape that triggered the murder anyhow?
