My step Dad still has a pair up in Mayfield, NY and I mean they are HUGE. Probably over 4ft tall all day. Not sure what's in them but I use to play my guitar freaking loud through them. 15" drivers in them. His amp is an old Fisher tube deal that I think sounded like shit from day one so that may have been most of the problem. This was back around 1983 when I last heard them, they were custom built from what I remember him saying

You have positioned yourself to inherit them someday, right? Not the Fishers, the K's.

He has bladder cancer now and it in his late 70s, we don't expect him to last more then a year or two but he has fought off cancer twice before. I will get them if they are in the estate sale if he passes. All my Mom and Dad's books are still at the house also (small freakin' librarys worth) and some other personal family items

IIRC, they are over 3ft wide and probably are closer to 5ft tall. Not sure if they are true K horns but they are built like tanks and weight about 200lbs or more apiece

Yep, if you are on the hunt Jason they will show up. There is a pair on Ebay for 1500.00 or offer now. Check old church storage buildings.
I found a nice pair of Altec A-7s that way.
When I used to build and restore vintage cars and Hotrods, I was all over the country trying to find a 1932 Ford (Little Deuce Coupe).
After about 6months, a really nice body showed up 50 miles from my house!
What should you pay for a pair? Hell just like old cars, I was just concerned about a good body, I knew I would put a ton of
Benjamins in it before it was called done. I kind of look at hifi stuff the same way.
Just ask Lee how how much he put in his pair.
the hunt is on.................................................:walk:
