I got a deal on a Teac A3440, my main unit before this was a Teac A4300. After giving the 3440 a run through, it now has taken the place as a main unit. The sound quality is just incredible, especially at 15ips. If you ever can get one of these units, I highly suggest that you go ahead and get it, you will not regret it.

I also had a Teac 4300 for 20 years before I fell into a Pioneer Rt 2022/2044. The Teac has since been donated to Sam Palermo for a refurb and nice home placement to some deserving young tapenut.

I have been watching for a deal on a 3440 but so far no luck.... Does your have the ability to sync the 4 tracks to each other? One of these days one will pop up so I can listen to some tapes made years ago on a similar machine.

Ha, where's the photos?????

Hey Robert
The guy I bought my TT from says he has a couple of 4 channel R2Rs for sale. He didn't say what kind. I posted his ebay page. So you can ask him from there or I can if you want. The other guy has 3 Revox A77s for sale that need work. He was going to check the heads today and get back to me. The best one he wants 150.00 the worst one he wants 75.00.

I have a 2340 chassis and all the parts I cpllected over 4 years and I'm going to have to shipp the thing if I ever am to get it PUT TOGETHER.

I also made the mistake possibly of tossed some 12VDC wall adapters of around 1A range that were for old Qwest DSL boxes and one UMAX flatbed scanner. Those would be for my Fostex X-18 cassette multitracker.

15 AA cells is a bit much, even for Bruce Springsteen...

I've got an A-3340 Quad Simul-Sync deck, needs a power cord and NAB adaptors, I'm looking to get it re-furbed, need my big reels for those long listening sessions, and I'd love to find one of the Pink Floyd quad tapes everyone raves about, I can't imagine a full SQ quad sound in this tiny room  :o  pass the baggie baby!! :albino: :reindeer:

What's the difference between the 3440 and the 3340?
