Star Point Ground Scheme for PL700B Amplifiers

Marco, next time I talk to ED Blackwood I'll ask him about the 3 prong cord/. It seems we talked about it once and the dual voltage or export model s had the 3 prong cord...but I'll ask him again..
 
The Watkins woofers , IIRC, had some 2200uf caps in the cabinet and cycling the on/off switch without giving those caps time to discharge did lead to some large thumps on turn on... Have you considered DC protect for your amps or do you have that already?

1) Yes, the resistors are connected directly on speaker terminals.
2) Probably , you are right . Chassis grounding should be mandatory for U.K.
3) No ,according PL service manual this simple resistor should be a good protection and till now...
