James Burke dropped this off on his way through, serious distortion in one channel. In the scope it's missing the top half in the left channel. RCA 1B05 outputs, quasi comp, 89 volts rail voltage, I see some 2N5416, 2N3440's and the circuit looks familiar...

I think you need to throw some pixie dust in there to get it working Lee... :)

I'll take a shot at it. I like working on analog...waaay better than digital. Must have something to do with my 1952 pedigree...

Looks like its missing a fuse on the Tinker Belle.

Whats with the text? I've never seen that sort of thing on a circuit board before.

Far out, groovy and right on....
My Spectro Acoustics came in a box which said Bellevue, Wa. I see somewhere else which says Richland, Wa.

Here's the story on Short Cakes and Tinker Bell from Robin. (can't recall his last name at the moment)

"Short Cakes was a short cute blond lady names Suzie. She was bob's girl friend back then. Tinker Bell was a cute little red head. I rented a 23 foot camping trailer from her dad and lived in it.
For some reason we had a lot of very cute girls at Spectro?
Those Spectro transistors are actually MJ15024 transistors.
The 500SR is by far my favorite amplifier. I wish I had one!
The lights were very well done."
