I am totally enjoying them. They really are on a different level than other speakers I have heard. I've been through everything from Ohm to Magnaplanars, Paradigm Studio Monitors to the DIY building of SEVERAL pairs, culminating in the Linus Array, and now from Altec Lansing VOTT A-7's to the Klipsch La Scalas, and now finally to the Klipschorns. They take the cake.......and they are sooo efficient..They get so loud even with very little signal. Yeppers, I love em.. Best speakers I have ever heard....and I've not even tweeked them yet. Still have to put all new drivers and crossovers in them. But they sound so damn good, I want to just listen to them stock right now....(they do have Crites crossovers in them though).....

There is nothing special about the Crites crossovers
They are a new build of the stock cross.

I didn't realize they were a rebuild of the originals. Still, they sound damn good. I'll have to get the Universal crossovers in them and see what that does. I don't know if I'll be able to stand it if they sound any better.

Did Bob copy the AL-3 or AA? Just wondered....

Speaker Update

After almost a year of listening to my WOPL 400 (or is WOPL 500 more accurate?) through a pair of Infinity RS IIIB speakers, I decided to (finally) move the RS II's that I picked up a while back and give them a listen. I only did that yesterday so this is by no means definitive but I have to say that my initial impressions are excellent. The RS II's sound awesome as they are-I did nothing to them yet-whereas I refoamed all four woofers and replaced the dampening foam around the mids and emit tweeters on the RS IIIB's.

My initial impression of the RS II's is that they are speakers that are without a doubt keepers from a sonic standpoint. My only problem with them is that I continually read that they sound best "a few feet" away from the back wall. Our home won't accommodate that setup so they'll probably find a new home...EVENTUALLY! For now though, I'm going to enjoy them 1 foot away from the back wall, powered by the sweet SS sound of my WOPL'd 400! Thanks again to Lee, Joe, Jason, Ron, Mark and others, who I can't think of at the moment, from this site.

We've moved our office which has caused my camera to be temporarily missing but I'll get some pics when I find it.

Got Stephen to send some pics......
I got to hear these bad boys last month when I picked up the SAE amp...very powerful sound, yet his little 1000s impressed the hell outta me! Or were they 1.0's? Tiny little things that weighed about 20lbs, that sound has haunted me ever since :shaking:

You can't go wrong with Walsh Ohm drivers unless you go to a nice electrostatic :happy2:
