So, I'm gonna stir the pot again. The soundstage on a quasi comp PL 400 was not near the soundstage on a fully comp PL 400. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and suggest soundstage has more to do with the Phase - coherence of a particular topology. IF it is frequency/phase dependent wouldn't it be better if the freq response was flatter with less phase manipulation than not?? To seem like you were there , to have the recording faithfully reproduced in all it's phase relations intact would be the desired result , would it not??
