2013 is turning out to be a productive year for seeing shows!
Went to a progressive-metal show in San Fran back in January, The Devin Townsend Project - hailing from B.C. Canada.
Great show and didn't leave with my ears ringing, much to my surprise.
Last night we scooted to Oakland, CA and saw Soundgarden. Been a fan from the beginning but this is the first time experiencing them live.
They played a bunch of stuff off of their new album, 'King Animal', but it was mainly a show focused on their prior albums.
The band was tight and show was raw & relaxed - for Soundgarden that is..
Matt Cameron on drums was a real treat. He's been part of Pearl Jam for a number of years but it was good to see him back in the proper musical format and back with band-mates that
helped mold him into the drummer he is. All and all a most enjoyable show. If you're a fan from the past, I highly recommend catching a show if they swing nearby.
Got banned from TH and saw Soundgarden on the same day.
Now that's what I call monumentally epic!
