Anyone know anything about a Sony TC-580 Reel to Reel. Chicago Craigslist for $40. I couldn't find much about it, only that it is a well built machine.
Wife would kill me for R2R #3 but I would get rid of one cheap if I grab this.
Nice deck if it works. Buddy of mine had one and it sounded fantastic. The only problem you will have with it is that center roller. It will need to be cleaned and lubed properly to work good. Or else it will become a nightmare.3
If I have the time this weekend I might call. No big thing if I get it or not - would just be another project on the bench. R2R's aren't selling around here lately. Some have been on Craigslist for over three months - not at $40. though.
