Not inferior Lee, just different... both are 63/37 in metallurgy.
Give it a try when you get a chance. I think you will like how it flows. I still use the "44" when I have to solder un-tinned brass to PCBs as in the swage terminals on the capacitor boards. The activated flux in the "44" is more aggressive and does a better job there. But cleanup takes longer using the "44"
