He's altering his death style. The filters are good for awhile and then they get full of carbon particulates and dust and spores that cling to the carbon particles and eventually clog the filter resulting in the air system choking and wheezing until it can no longer flow enough air. Then the system breaks down due to low air exchange, it overheats with minimal exertion, fills with fluid, and eventually shuts down permanently. You can change the filter but that only prolongs the inevitable because the damage has been done to the system as well as the filter. The only way to fix it is to take it outdoors and let clean air circulate through it for about 6 months, that will clean it out but you have to keep the smoke out of it forever.

Geez, this is too much fun.

My death style consists of years of being exposed to deadly chemicals, MEK no repair for the liver, Trych, Acetone, LPS 1,2,3. High Carcinogens. To many others to mention. I can go one if you wish. High Cancer rates where I live. Predisposition to Cancer. What is your death style. You have a guarantee on how you are going to die? What about the drugs I have taken and do take. Do they have side effects? Or is a certain drug company sending a check this week for their health. Will I die from the Diabetes it caused and the obesity? How many heavy metals have I come in contact with? Depleted uranium some dumb ass was grinding on while I was working in the area. Do you think I lived in a bubble? I wish the cigarettes were my biggest fear. What is the number 1 cause of cancer in America or the world. There is still smog in Cali they just use a different name; but they are worried about 2nd hand smoke.

Wow this is so easy

Sheesh, and I thought just inhaling all the smoke coming off my soldering iron after melting my 62% tin, 36% lead solder was bad. I used to wash all my once-fired brass in MEK, it worked really well. I think it ate away a few brain cells, too. I remember smog days when I was able to stay home from elementary school, I went outside anyway, just wheezed a little more on those days. That was in San Gabriel Valley in the 1960's.

In Riverside in the early 70's they actually had to stop some outdoor practices for football. You'd take a deep breath and it felt like someone had a giant c-clamp on your lungs.

I still smoke too. How many smokers are on the board? Larry, Lee, Sutton.....anybody else? I know I NEED to quit. We now only smoke in one room, but it happens to be the Den, or main room in which we live. I have two filters going all the time, and change the filter in the HVAC every month, but I do still smoke, my wife smokes, my mother still smokes (83 years old). It is a bad habit, but I, too, quite drinking a few years ago....except for an occasional beer...

Just get some air moving in the garage and smoke. Put a system in the room...a good one...no a great one... and enjoy. It's for your enjoyment. No one else's. Why would you NOT have a stereo in your garage? That's what you DO....I have a stereo in my garage, my computer room, my bedroom, and anywhere else I please. What's stopping you Larry? If you want to do it.....do it....

I have gear in my garage. I have a Walmart little thing I listen to all the time. I have wireless on my deck. I go through my phases as to where I spend my time. Just like recording and my TTs. I go through phases what I listen to gear wise. Who knows next week I may put a fireplace on my deck and start sitting out there. LOL With me I never know.

I was emailing the UK with a pretty big order at 6 am. If I go in the sound room when I get up I wake my wife. So I work in the garage.
