Shpongle Band at Red Rocks

All are welcome! I will set up a few big tents in the back yard if need be. Bring your sleeping bags, pads, cots, etc.

This sounds excellent but I'm not driving so I'll check in with the others.

I'll assume you'll be down for the party if you are inviting us all.... ;)

Oh yeah- we likes ta party here in my neighborhood!!! I make a good designated driver as does my girlfriend, D as we don't really throw down in public anymore. I prefer to get my stumble on when I am safe and sound at my crib.

I hear that! Are you going to the show?

I'm assuming with the new changes in CO that party will be ok as well.... not to mention all that goes with shpongle.... :tongue1:

Gonna buy my tickets in the next week or so and am looking forward to the show and hanging out a bit. Do you happen to know what Shpongle's taping policy is?

Stairway To Heaven would have definitely been an EP if it had been released as a generel 45...I saw a DJ 45 of it on You Tube once. It's very hard to get 10 minutes onto a disc that should at most hold less than 8 because of the difficulty of cutting it and associated groove problems.

EPs also came on 10" microgroove discs (although they were originally the 10" size LP), while RCA Victor would use 45s and put 4 songs on them (I have a few of these, mostly hits discs reprising artists like Tommy Dorsey). In the late 70s CBS Records introduced both the half-speed mastered 12" LP and reintroduced the 10" record as an EP to showcase their artists, which only served to confuse the changer users and maybe leave some feeling gypped out of 2" (Cosmo Girls, probably) so they were not around for long.

In the 80s EP came to signify a release that had less content than would normally be expected on a full album release, a short compilation of outtakes, or a filler album inbetween regular releases to keep the fans interested and buying.

Not a full LP... ;) tems from back in the day that are still used.

It only has 5 songs on it. I might have combined it with the Luminous EP which is just the Luminous tune as a single remixed a few different ways with maybe one other tune on it.

I'm pretty sure it's on with one of the others but is clearly marked on the disc.
