Secret Santa 2014

I'll play of I don't get reamed for not sending the gift. See I tried on Th's X2 years in a row and got pick to send the gift to Canada. Well Nando can attest to this anyways. So back to the story...... The second year I got hit again with sending to Canada and Tried to send the gift X2 and never made it.:angryfire:
So I'll play as long as I don't get reamed for not sending one. Package came back as no address twice so I gave up. If I do get chosen to send a package to a foreign land we will have to figure a way for me to get it there. If this sounds to difficult then count me out. Sorry not trying to be a party pooper....:happy2:

That damned glutton Dooright...

Just send whiskey...if it's LATE, it's BETTER.

Hi Guys,

Add me to the list.....

Just a suggestion, if everyone is having issues sending to different countries. Maybe arrange the drawing so those in the same country exchange as that could help eliminate the shipping problems. However, That would require more than one person from the respective country unless you just want to buy yourself something cool and interesting. :)

Thanks,
Robert

This, I don't mind shipping to Canada but elsewhere costs as much as the gift (or damn near it)

This certainly could be an option for us this year, but it may not be much of a secret if only 2 of our phamily members from the Great White North sign on. Need BubbaH to sign on again this year......;-) Up until now, we don't have any participants outside of North America(which is possibly due to the higher shipping costs). I have shipped some packages to Glantoir in Ireland and shipping cost was comparable to those for Canada.

So whaddaya think, our Canadian friends?

I have sent several small parcels to Europe in the last few years, so it's not an issue for me to send a Christmas gift to one of our members living there. So yes, it would be fine if I drew a name of one of our European neighbours.

Nando.

.

Do it earlier, and FYI sending the card and CD package to most of our overseas members is less than $3.50, at least as I am sending them (something about new standard letter)?

I WOULD CONSIDER CONSULTING YOUR CARRIER NOW?

Bump

Still plenty of time for more of you to join up for the holiday festivities and be a part of Secret Santa 2014. Da mo people, da mo funner! I was thinking that we should make cutoff date for Secret Santa 2014 sign up 11/ 01/ 14. At that point I will get everybody their recipient's info and wish lists. Would urge folks to get packages shipping by the end of November to avoid or address any issues that may occur that time of year.

Secret Santa 2014 Sign Up- Anybody Else Wanna Play?

Tomorrow will be the last day to get involved in this year's SS festivities- do we have any other takers? For those of you that have already signed, please send me your name, mailing addy and maybe an idea or two as to what you are hoping to get from the jolly old guy this year.

Going once, twice.....

Looks like we have all of this year's SS participants signed up. Please let me know if I missed anybody and I will be sure to correct the list.

Cool!! I'm back and will be awaiting a pm. Thanks ron for getting him my info! Been a busy month. And Christmas is not that far off! Crazy how fast this year is going

At this point, everybody involved SHOULD have received their recipient's info. If ya didn't, PM me.

That was quick work, Douglas. I'm looking forward to finding an appropriate gift for the member, whose name I drew.

Nando.

Tried not to drag my fanny the way I did on the Jazz TT(ugh), Nando. Looking forward to seeing everbody's posts next month as packages start arriving and the speculation begins! We almost doubled the number(13) of participants compared to last year(7) and hope to continue this trend.

As my way of participating in Seceret Santa this year, I am going to donate $25 plus an additional dollar for each member that signed up this year to a local charity. This year, it will probably The Buddy Center which is a no- kill animal shelter and I will pledge to make a donation to a charity each subsiquent year we do this thang.

Remember folks: Any issues, just contact me and I wil help to get it resolved.
