Picked this one up yesterday, have it working good after cleaning and re-lubing. 20kg monster. Got a bunch of tapes with it with recordings off analog tv from 80's/90's. 1978-1979 model so its 35+ years old, its the second "Non-Sony" beta machine ever made in the UK. Picture is much better after adjusting brightness/contrast on tv, needs a good run. Watching Sylvester Stallone in first blood recorded from TV.
One motor drives everything, even the video drum, lots of belts and I counted at least 3 idlers. Fan on either end of big motor, this has been cleaned. All the usual tape path, clean and re surfacing of belts until a belt kit can be obtained has it running stable. Unit uses 70 watts.
