Joe, this must be a later model. Ot has the service bulletin mods to the expander already done and it has the LM3900M op-amps.

Yeah, that's the double edge sword part of this. Damn unique AND A JOYSTICK!!! Had to be pretty novel back in the day...

Spotless immaculate on the inside. All RCA jacks work nicely, good conductivity through them. I may not have this one long.

I have one that is even more cherry than this one...

That'll teach me to speak before the AP is hooked up...

No output on the left, on anything, well almost everything. I haven't checked a couple sources yet.

In general the 4000 is a POS..... This one has not convinced me to change my opinion of them.......in the least.

The 4000 lives, some cold solder joints, a broken wire and a shitload of De-oxit. Shakin it down with the Onix CD-1, and Stephen's 400. Gonna take some more de-oxit. God I DO NOT like these things. Picked up a 3300 for russ so he can sell this thing while it's still worth something.

These require A LOT OF DE_OXIT. A full can of D100, and a full can of D5. One application didn't even come close....

A few sprays of D100 in the jack then a few turns with an 1/8" burr and rinse with D5. If someone has a better idea, Im open...

Getting close, Jani has worked her magic on the faceplate and knobs, just one little issue with the balance gimbal..
