Lee,
When you build with a Black Faceplate, do you send the knobs, out for anodizing, source new black ones, or simply polish the OEM ones,
and leave them natural aluminum finish?

depends on the customer, Russ wanted his old knobs on it...

I found a stash at Mendelson's (AKA Mendel-junks) in Dayton, Ohio a few years back. Should have bought all they had. Also bought 5000 silpads the same day. It's a shame they closed as they had teflon wire by the foot.
