I bought another enclosure. Does your puter recognize it? I have to go into the control panel and reactivate it.

You gutted the enclosure? To what? Did you know this?

"With its stylish black meshed metallic case, the Astone ISO GEAR 481E External HDD stands out from the crowd. It provides best protection from overheating and reduces electro-magnetic interference. The meshed metallic case effectively draws away the heat to protect the inside hard disk. With its dual external interfaces: USB2.0 and eSATA, the Astone ISO GEAR 481E is an ideal external storage device to store and transfer large amounts of data in a fast and easy way!

Gutted. All you do is pull the HD out. I have a Nexstar 3. I still have the other one in case I feel froggy one day.
