The counterpoint? They are external and are the metal package. I can’t get to them right now (A/C install) but I can later.
They do get plastic covers but they are the same metal can with two screws.

Is there something so “irreplaceable “ about the devices they used? Seems to me, just get closely matched sets and replace them.
I wonder if all these years it was a scare tactic to send the amp back to Mike for “upgrade” (aka full gut-job and rebuild)

Anybody need a very nice Wheatstone Bridge? It's in a sweet wooden case. Dovetail Joinery. I never used one but some hoarder HAS to want it. I could barely spell it. I like the old test equipment so it will go on the display shelf (after I get rid of some shit taking up space). I have another 3 meter 5 amp Variac in the middle of resto too. I just ordered new meter faces and got a 5 amp variac for parts. LIME GREEN Powder coating I'm thinkin......
