Thanks for the welcome everybody.Yeah,Bob and I help represent the Analog Underground here in Digitalville. No K-Horns here, although there are 2 sets currently available locally on CL for about $3K/pair.Have a nice set of early Fortes and a pair of KG-4s,my old ears tell me they prefer JBLs.Probably how I ended up with 3 sets of L65 Jubals.I tend to follow my ears and my heart. The former tends to be cheaper than the later.Nope,no Revox either.Have a wall of Otari,Teac and Akai R2Rs,plus a couple of (what I am told are...) rare Sony R2Rs.Tapehead,yeah.CDs are as compressed as I like my music.Anything more contemporary tends to give me a headache somehow.
"Hibachi",I like that.....you've just christened the old PL200 with an appropriate name. That label on the desk came off a Sony TT.Bought a bunch of gear years ago off some crazy biker who needed parts for his project H-D.I have no doubt that everyone obeyed that warning.
Thanks for the Jensen comment. That's my "old f@rts RoadRunner".I was into cars for years, getting too old for it now.Might bend over a fender one day and have to call a crane in to straighten me back up.Besides,it's more comfortable working down in the basement "Mad Scientist Lab" as the Squeeze refers to my electronics workshop.Keeps me out of her way.Closer to the refooderator and bathroom too.
