Reports say Aretha Franklin 'gravely ill'...

Family and friends are reported to be at her side and fearing the worst.

There have been rumors and stories of her being near death before so I won't speculate.

Ms. Franklin is 73 and retired from performing in 2017.

She was dealing with cancer a few years ago. She is a cultural icon.

She might be 76, she never looked that old, she always looked sweet. But I gather she's down to 86 pounds, that's pretty bad.

She wasn't on Motown though, she left Columbia for Atlantic, then Arista and RCA.
