Repairing The Venerable Crown DC 300

Sheesh, you are a one man swap meet. Just one set of the bolts/nuts (4) and a pair of each flavor of those caps for the PL400 and PL700 would keep me going for awhile. The meter replaces one that was burnt and I tried to fix it but those wires are very small. And I'm sending payPal so tell those bull gears to stop turning for a moment.

Evidently, you and I have an altogether different idea about why those gears turn in the first place........ And PayPal won't credit my acct if I don't claim it..........

And I just can't send out a care package withpout a few surprises.

Well now..............5'10"" , blond, kinky, with a F&^% Me attitude??

That is a rare creature, I've heard about them but never seen a live one. How about I send you four of them and each one only has one of those attributes describe above...

Hmmmmm...... I'd rather it be in the convenient "user friendly" single pack.

Ok, if you bill for some of this stuff send me some , but if it's for your stuff.......

I have a lot of oddball stuff to Mark. I get a minute I'll look through some.

I just climbed down from the roof myself. I completely understand people's schedules, I wish sometimes I had one of my own. Anyway, I appreciate the help anytime it comes. At this time, I think I'll have a beer.

BTW, after we're done it will be good to have this information on the site.

Do you need to replace the originals or just desire to do so? The context helps me.

Mark do you have the service manual and parts list for the amp?

I'm trying to place an order at Mouser, Allied, Digikey, etc. to have the parts on hand when I tear into the amp. I am OK with replacing the originals with better or more robust devices as long as the topology is the same. I will not replace any parts unless I need to or there is a safety factor. I'd kinda like to retain the sound quality of the amp if possible. After all, if I wanted a Sunfire, I would just buy a Sunfire (yeah, right).

I realize the double transistors and double diodes may have to be single devices now. I do have the parts list and service manual for both of the Crown DC300 amps. Not the Series II.

Hi Mark
I have the complete set of manuals for Crown (one of them is an original), was asking because I did not know if you had them.
