Buy a good belt kit. Nice to have a manual;but if not do it by braille.

First step. Try cycling the deck a few times.If the have been setting. It may take a few times to get it going.

Step 2 Deox all motors. Then cycle it through some more. There are small holes in the backs of the motors to spray the deox in.

Step 3 Time to start. Make sore you you leave as much together as possible.

Excellent thread Larry :thumbup: . Great tips. I use empty pill vials for screws of the same size, and always take pics of where they go back in too.

What do you do if the old belts have turned to a gooey mess?

I was thinking that Goo-Gone stuff, but I'll do a search and see what comes up. It's important for someone who's deck has sat for a long, long time, or an old belt drive TT too.
