Question about driver attenuation

I used a pair of L-pads from Eminence. Worked great and think they were under $30/each also rated for 100w.

I like reading that stuff. I downloaded all the JBL Technical Notes. They start out being good technical articles, later they became product announcements. I never did find Volume 1, Number 20. I have the rest. Here is the link:
