Question about a B&K PRO10 I have.

I swapped the B&K Ref. 4420 that I had in there for the other B&K Ref. 4420 that I have and same exact thing. Noise unless i move that preamp up on that 2nd shelf. I am going to keep trying different stuff. Moving power cords and the other cords does not seem to help at all.

Must be. None of the other pre amps I have that have been in that same spot have had the same problem though and there have been at least four others there. An Adcom, a CJ, a Forte and a Audio Research oh and a C2 Kenwood. Shit that's at least five. I would have really thought that amp and pre would have gotten along famously. Hell, that's why I bought it as the matching counterpart for the amplifier. No big deal though. I will just keep it on the other shelf if need be because I really like it.

You need a Model ONE in that lower shelf position...

OK, so putting the amp on the top and the pre on the bottom totally solves the problem. Look at page three of the B&K PRO and the page from the Ref. 4420. I guess I am just a dumb ass right? How many times have I saw this written in manuals / 100's? Who am I to think that a piece of wood in between would not count as stacking? lol.

Huh??

So Joe, can a Model One be bought completely built or does one buy the parts and put it together themselves/ get with Mark/Perry/Lee to do it?

I have a pro 10 and a pro 10 but different model
I think the schematics matches the early model

The schematic are from 1988, I think those should be for the early model

Here is the version that matches the schematics

Absolutely. B&K had some crazy ways with naming two totally different products the same or very similar names. Two amplifiers or preamps with the same name, different schematics, different looks!
