My YouTube video playing a John McCormick song from about 100 yrs ago on the victrola was flagged as copyrighted content. I find it odd, but i suppose the right could be there. YouTube says no worries, but an add could show up etc.

Copyright's can span generations. The ebate rages between public domain and individual intellectual property.

Yeah there has been a high level of legal activities around copyrights etc lately. It's just the first time I've ever felt a direct connection like that.

Perhspd you have to make your own?

It could be as simple as they tag it for sale on Amazon, iTunes or you have to run a ad. You should look at your file to see and perhaps ask a lawyer wha it means.

I think maybe Google is just going teats up and horny for cash.

All I'd lose is a good way to find porn sites any way.

By the way...

PUBLIC ENEMY

And don't play the song in it's entirety, parts of other songs, just demo it.

I get that all the time on my You Tube videos. Mostly they just block the audio in Germany, but a few that I have posted the block the audio in the US. Sony is one of the worst for blocking.

They usually just add a link to where you can purchase the music that is in the video. :cyclops:
