Preamp levels versus Amp input attenuation

If you keep low level AC away from hi level AC your hum will be less. The designers of vintage preamps would use AC in the tube heaters and the hum would be nil. As you increase power output you increase everything that is in the signal. I have a center tapped 60-0-60 feed to my system and it reduced all the 60 and 120 HZ noise.

Jeez DUDE!!! I said life is lived in midrange---not HEARD in midrange!! And are you coming to Phoenix one day that week so we can check out Dude's stuff??
 
I'm soooo there, gimme a date, time. I can ask for that day off, I might have to take the shuttle bus up to Sky Harbor and have you pick me up there, if that's not cool, I'll steal a Border Patrol SUV, patch in the Onix Cdp and get there in style :laughing7::albino::laughing7:
