The power switch in the converted 700B I have is not original to the unit. In fact Jerry commented on it when he saw the amps insides. From it's appearance, there's a good possibility it actually pre-dates the amplifier and it's been there since I got it in 1990. The switch looks heavy duty and never acted up until a few days ago. Turn on is fine but turn off and there's a transient - a fairly loud "snap" through the speakers. Since it's encased in brown plastic or Bakelite and no holes for Deoxit, I can't clean it.

So Leeee, any particular rotary switch from any particular supplier that you would recommend? Shaft diameter needs to be the same as I'd want to transplant the knob but I can cut any extra off the shaft if it's too long.

BTW, did those bulbs I sent you get sent to France?

Well, give me a day or 2 to find it. The scarcer the part the better I hide em.....from myself...There was a bunch from the Aerosmith amps....they took out the rotary's and put in flip switches. They didn't keep em all but there's a few in that sack....
