And knowing Sutton HE WILL FIGURE IT OUT !!!! I really don't see me spending any more money on mine.... My next move on speakers will be moving the Linus to the rear channel and putting K-horns on the front.... Zach !!!! I know what I've been meaning to ask you.. Did you ever hook a 700 to those things ????? I remember you talking about it just don't remember if ya did it ? Ya know whats really odd is the fact that our two pair of speakers were in the same room together many years ago in Georgia !!!! And we sit here today talking about them... HA ! And yes... What I remember about Griffith he was top notch !!! He went out of his way to help Sutton when we were building these !!!
Sutton has gone straight to the source on this, and is getting (of course) good advice from Jim directly. I wound still highly recommend that S go active if possible, since XO development and ROOM CORRECTION are so easy with the mini. It's not a miracle machine, but...designing passive for lines will be an iterative process for sure. Not going to get it "right" the first time. IOW, PITA.
I'm ashamed to admit that I have not. I wanted to listen in stock form for a while to compare before and after WOPL sound, and one day when I got home from work, the Ole lady told me a channel was out. Fearing the worst, and expecting company, I pulled out that system and put the 3300II, and 300II back in and set the 700B aside. Well, it was just a blown fuse- must have latched up. It's in the kitchen, so lacking massive power isn't really a big deal.
It runs now, but I still haven't put in the WO board, cause I'm stupid. I did, however, close up the Nikko Alpha II I am restoring and put the 700b on the bench yesterday morning. My brain wasn't working due to lack of sleep so that's where it sits for the moment...soon. May still be a bit, since I'm going to try to pick up a Pinbot pinball machine this weekend (needing repair- it's for my wife primarily, so 1st priority) and have a bunch of other stuff going on, but it's on deck! I think I've had this thing for 3 years now- what a doofus. Oh well, it's a hobby, right?
For now, still on the outlaw 7100, but it's no slouch, and with the high sensitivity, it'll still run folks out of the room, yet remain poised. They're also crossed to subs at 80Hz, so that helps.
Your speakers came from Jim?
Zach
p.s., I believe you may have lost your mind. K-horns with array surrounds? You crazy, dude.
