Plinth

Was talking to John this morning about building one. I told him I Had some Cherry plywood or I could get some Purple Heart. He goes why not layer them and use the purple heart for the top. Think it would make a nice on. Would be heavy for sure. I'll use the Music Hall for a pattern. Here is the Cherry

Finding some nice tonearms. Looking at the MH. May keep the plinth and just veneer it. Glue 2 more pieces of cheery plywood to the existing plinth. Some very complex router cuts for me.

The 3/4 inch plywood is level. No problem there. I would like a planer though.

Can't have that!! Just lately been able to do that myself. even cleaned a pathway to the bench in the garage which has been out of reach for almost a year.
