Even that cheap, it's scary stuff...high voltages, high RF radiation, etc...

Very cool. Would it be better than a super tweeter? I think it would. It goes down pretty low. Make a Lucite box. Would look wicked. Wonder how far the sound will project? Guess I should read some more. Thanks

Larry, I heard the Hill Plasmatronics way back as a young man, the story is posted somewhere, anyhoo, it changed my life, made me the planar/stat lover I am today...no box colorations, driver distortions, just air moving as it should...the bass energy was not there tho, and the room was filled with that ozone smell, by product of the heilum needed to make them sing!! I've never heard a better reproducer of the upper mids/high frequencies EVER!! 'nuff said...

I repaired a pair of Plasmatronics last fall. They do sound amazing. I last heard a set in 1979. They are distortion free.
